Hi Alex,

Have you been there since the sale started...? Was curious if there really were any deals to be had... or the shit on sale was of the Aaron Carter 12-inch below-the-belt-genuine-draft remix variety.

The last time I was in there, it was still only 20% off. I mean, that's better than nothing, but when the sticker price is, like, 14-18 dollars, it's still highway robbery.

Thanks, Alex... someone told me they had some decent DVDs for $5.

The prices are actually higher than the last few months when they had tables and tables of $10 CDs. 20% off is higher than you would pay anywhere else.

There was an article somewhere recently about how Going Out of Business sales increase prices, and companies specialize in setting up these sales, even bringing in items that the store never before sold, preying on people who think it's a bargain when it's not. When Circuit City went out of business I saw the same thing, prices were higher than Staples across the street for the same products, but advertised as huge discounts. Odd that people fall for it.

I went to Kim's after seeing all the 40 percent off fliers and stuff. I didn't find anything that was actually 40 percent off, of course.
