There was an article somewhere recently about how Going Out of Business sales increase prices, and companies specialize in setting up these sales, even bringing in items that the store never before sold, preying on people who think it's a bargain when it's not. When Circuit City went out of business I saw the same thing, prices were higher than Staples across the street for the same products, but advertised as huge discounts.
