Pay no mind to those helicopters hovering over the city all day today and tomorrow

Thanks to the EV Grieve reader for pointing out this item from the Post:

Don’t be alarmed if you see low-flying helicopters around Manhattan.

New York City officials say they’re being used for a movie.

They’ll be around the city between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

The locations include midtown, Wall Street, and the George Washington, Manhattan and Verrazano bridges.

there is one flying right now over nolita/soho (9:40am thurs)....you think thy could tell us what movie!

Seems to be the same noisy sort that have been flying over the east village.

Also, what movie needs this many aerials?

Well, okay, then. I'm trying to imagine what kind of movie needs a zillion hours of helicopter time over the EV. Perhaps Die Hard VI features jetpacks? Wait. Maybe Die Hard VI is set in the police building on 8th St. and the big set piece is a DHS drill? Seems like if it's a movie--and a movie makes as much sense as anything--it shouldn't be too hard to learn which movie.

Ha. Yeah, must be getting footage for the next five Die Hards....

Aside from being annoying--the helicopters along with the planes make for a very dangerous situation which I do not have to spell out.
