The $500 shot

Josh Spear took the first photo from yesterday's fire that showed the extent of the fire at 240 Houston ...

(Via Twitpic.)

The Post published his photo today...

Per Josh's Twitter feed, he negotiated a $500 fee for use of the photo from the Post ... and he is promptly donating the money to the FDNY Foundation.

Very nice gesture. I hope they buy 50 gallons of Pedialyte with it. :-)

Sorry for the comment spam - but isn't it strange Lenin is pointing almost exactly in the direction of where the wind is taking the fire/smoke!? That is s-u-r-r-e-a-l.

And the USA just traded spies with Russia today in a clandestine operation in Vienna!

Alphabet City on fire, spy trading with Russia... 1983 called and wants its year back!

Good observation, Shawn....

If it's 1983... Is that why I keep hearing Every Breath You Take on the radio?
