Well, it wasn't at the time that I took these photos this morning.. but by now, probably... balloons...dunk tanks... dead horses... between First Avenue and Avenue A...

Also today: The Loisaida Summer Block Party on Ninth Street between Avenue B and Avenue C.

seems like this year's street fairs have many less sellers. too bad. i love neighborhood street fairs.

I agree....9th Street was particularly lacking in something...

The yuppies were boycotting these street fairs, woooooooo, 'cause there weren't enough zeppoles, italian sausages, and tube socks being sold, 'cause we all know that's what people love about street fairs, esp. the transplants and the tourists, Bro. Wooooo. Not enough cupcakes and expensive shirts for kids were being sold. Woooooo. Plus the yuppies were in the Hamptons, no time for neighborhood street fairs to support the community. Woooooo. Need more wine bars and appletinis, Bra. Woooooo. Wooooooo.

i think the yuppies boycott the big street fairs and, like most of us, enjoy the small block fairs

i hate the big street fairs that run for blocks with smelly fried food and junk - and forget about the already full traffic

seems to me that mostly tourists are buying the large street fair stuff

you know, all that americana

Who was the band that played in the late afternoon? They were pretty good.
