The brunch line at Prune is getting longer

For unknown reasons, I've walked by Prune on East First Street at the exact moment they open for Sunday brunch the past two weeks ... and, for continued unknown reasons, I took a photo from the back of the line...

March 27!

April 3!

For some reason that April 3 line looks like it's been there since March 27. They must be really cranky and hungry!

Because yuppies want Bloody Marys on Sunday mornings!!! Why put good cash in some offering plate (or donate to a charity) when you can put it in your stomach?

WHY? i was an idiot once who waited here for 2 and a half hours and left with the thought of "wtf i'm starving" , I don't get the appeal of this place

Yikes.. Do people who would eat at a place called "Prune??" go out for brunch? Thought it would be limited to the early bird special crowd... haha. I simply do not get standing on line to eat at a restaurant in NYC but fine.. I'd much rather them stand on line for this place then go to places I eat.. they'd ruin my appetite

Really?! No one can have a bloody at brunch so long as there are charity's that need funding?!

Maybe people are trying to catch a glimpse of Gabrielle Hamilton's 'body modification'?
"A decade ago, in Boston for her 35th birthday, she paid a call on a body-modification artist. Ms. Hamilton wanted what’s known as a “slash and burn.” She selected a spot on her right arm to be ritualistically cut, dabbed with alcohol and set aflame. “It’s sort of like a tattoo except 5,000 times more painful,” she said. “And when they cut you, my God, they cut you.” "(NYT)
What an idiot!

That's why I'm suffering during the renovation of Sidewalk. No fuss, no muss, no endless booze. Sidewalk doesn't even serve alcohol before noon and I like it that way!
