Al fresco dining at Gemma — pay no mind to the diner's unattended purse on the sidewalk

On the Bowery last evening.

These tables and chairs are creeping more and more into the path of walkers. It's becoming a hazard, so if things start getting stolen, I just hope I'm not the one doing it. It's tempting.

That's true, bowery boy. I noticed a table last night jutting out about 3 feet from the rest to accommodate a larger party. I was too distracted by the purse to take a photo.

Those chairs have curved backs, so anything draped on them will fall off. Maybe put hooks under the table? It doesn't look like there is any safe lace to stash a purse unless she holds it in her lap.

Or, just get a fanny-pack.

The good old days, she and the bag would've been gone in sub-seconds
