A 'traditional good luck supper' tonight at Bobwhite

Over on Avenue C at Sixth Street, it looks as if the incoming Bobwhite Lunch and Supper Counter is having a sneak preview of sorts tonight with "a traditional good luck supper" ... thanks to Matt LES_Miserable for the photo... (and let us know if you happen to go — we're curious about this new restaurant...)

Will be going to check it out. The place is right next door to me, so I'm psyched to think there might be somewhere I can just fall down the stairs to that has booze and delicious food.

Fuck all you losers that got a subway, 7eleven or an Ihop. Hope they allow flasks, as with the mean hangover I've got today, I might need to step beyond beer and wine.

I picked up takeaway from Bobwhite earlier tonight. Got both kinds of chicken - the fried and the grilled, but went with white meat for the grilled and dark for the fried. Both were super flavorful and delicious. The fried chicken definitely has a unique sweet flavor to it. I'm not sure what it was, but something like maple syrup maybe. The cheddar grits were amazing.

Being new to the neighborhood, one of the things this area had been missing was a good place for quick tasty takeaway meals. I think this could be it. I'm looking forward to more menu items rolling out and eating there again.

I stopped by Sunday night for a quick bite. It was slap your grandma good. I will definitely be back again!
