Letters addressing what you can and can't flush down your toilet are always so... awkward. Haven't seen it done well yet. And who dumps cat litter down a toilet? (Wait, don't answer that...)

Well, that was rather polite and diplomatic after all.

Although, appropriately enough, the author displays a certain ignorance regarding the proper use of semi-colons.

10 years in that building never an issue with people doing this and all of a sudden... yet another example of the changing demographic of the LES...

this happens in my building too. east village residents are notoriously lazy and stupid in matters related to plumbing. I suspect many of them would try to flush old dungarees out of sheer stupidity.

I am always telling my girlfriend "toilet's not a trash can". What a wet blanket I am.

Yeah--that was a very nice letter! Apart from what's in it, what would make someone think that cat litter belongs in a toilet?
