This is what a window display looked like on the Bowery on May 10, 2012
This year, we'll post photos like this of various buildings, streetscenes, etc., to capture them as they looked at this time and place... The photos may not be the most telling now, but they likely will be one day...

Oh yeah! That strip of restaurant supply places along the Bowery is fantastic, topped off by that wonderful crazy home there at 190 Bowery.

I guess give a few years and it will all be swanky steel and glass-clad places like the New Museum, DBGBs etc. Boooooring!
@ anon 10:37 - it's illegal to run that equipment; there's a law against blenderizing small animals, even for something as culturally sensitive as ice cream.
This is a great initiative. Some fine detective work done by Mark, since I think he's right about the location. Should make for a good anarchival detective game on my tumblog: ows-anarchives.tumblr.com
i'd still like to see it chugging and huffing and puffing and doing whatever it is supposed to do. or hand me some technical drawings and specifications...
