@randall-Don't you know, it called the "Bowery District" now.
That place was a little grubby for the old Bowery.
Steve's has always been a rip off. They sold cigarettes for $2 a pack more than anyone.
I was just admiring that sign and name the other day. Ugh.
You know whats grubby is that stupid shelter across the stree.
The new entry in the neighborhood name game -- Bowery District or soon to be BoDi (pronounced Bow-Die, which I wish that'd be just the case.)
