Hopping on the Kiss train

We didn't get a chance yesterday to check out the progress of the temporary Kiss mural going up outside the former Nice Guy Eddie's on East First Street at Avenue A ...

I like the subway, although the rendering of poor Peter is godawful. Again, though, -- why couldn't it have been the Ramones or the Dictators or the New York Dolls or Blondie or Television or the Dead Boys or Talking Heads or Suicide or the Sic F*cks or The Mad or the Beastie Boys or The Undead or Kraut or Heart Attack or the Cro-Mags or Murphy's Law or Agnostic Front or Cop Shoot Cop or Pussy Galore or Bad Brains or SWANS or the Black Snakes or The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black or.....

shame this is just a temporary plywood shed.... this mural is way more attractive than whatever will take its place.

What Alex said. I love Chico, but WTF does KISS have to do with the East Village? Even their association with NYC is weak. Plus, they are the corniest, dumbed-down mofos on the planet and always have been.

that a cool mural. negative comments above show how some people arent ever happy with anything. their heads spend too much time in their own culo.

oops, sorry Alex, didn't think you'd be a KISS fan ... sometime I'll talk about how effing punk Adam & the Ants were and you can mock me. :p

I think it's supposed to be Gene, Paul, Tommy and Eric, not Ace and Peter. Chico's just trying to keep it current for all the "new" Kiss Army members. LOL.

Does anyone know why the mural of the skeletons in the window, to the left of KISS, was painted over with the red paint after only about 24 hours? I really liked it.

All that's left of it is the "boom" kid on the side.

And I wish they'd put those garbage dumpsters somewhere else.
