Juice Press opening another East Village location

Earlier this year, the American Copy Center changed names and moved down the block here on East 10th Street... opening up this prime space adjacent to Nicoletta's to-go operation ...

... and the work permit in the window reveals the new tenant... "Juice Press Store"...

The Juice Press has proven to be quite popular since opening on East First Street in April 2010... the raw juice/raw food retail spot has expanded to include several locations, including on East 10th Street near Avenue A... as well as one on Mott between Houston and Prince...

Expect a jokey coming soon sign here one of these days, such as a Robot Daycare/Missing Sock/Mime Academy ... as we've seen at the other under-renovation Juice Press locations...

Another day, another wacky new store sign on First Street

Really? How many of those does the east village need? Are they trying to blow liquiteria out of the water?

What the f*ck is a Nicoletta's? Please update this (nosex)agenarian's EV navigational skills.

@ Uncle Waltie
go for a stroll some time. Nicoletta is a bad pizza place that opened adjacent to this storefront.

I support TJP, some people say the Staff are rude, but I have never found that to be the case. While still being insanely expensive TJP is cheaper than a lot of their competitors.

Liquiteria will be fine. Juice Press is for posers.

My new fave juice bar is the Daily Juice storefront on northside 14th just west of 1st Ave.

Juice Press is great. Love Liquiteria also, but they don't seem the same since Doug sold it

@LvV I love you. I totally agree. I love Liquiteria! They have excellent service and they deliver to me every single day. All I have to do is call and tell them my name and they know my usual order and send it right along. Excellent service and excellent juice.

:D

Liquiteria is also the cleanest place known to mankind. It literally sparkles. And everyone there is so nice and says a genuine hello when you walk in the door.

I didn't know Doug Green sold it, though. That sucks, he's good people. I know that not being consulted by Starbucks for their assy planned juice-bar domination brought him down, but he is too good for them anyway.

I find it pretty absurd that this "report" is so giddy and --oh gee whiz ain't they got some funny signs-- about a mega dollar business that is monopolizing the area as fast as Starbucks. Yes they want to erase Liquiteria.
Criticism has been written about The Bean but they have always reached out to the local community.

I find an $8.00 juice is bit pricey.

I gave the Juice Press a try last summer... tried most of their smoothies and some food items. Way too expensive and the staff at the 1st street location is rude and/or spaced out, generally speaking. The staff at the 10th street is stand offish, as if their doing me a favor by taking my order.
The one good thing they offer is fresh almond milk or hemp milk made to order, reasonably priced. But the holier than thou staff was annoying, and ultimately I decided I don't want to put money in the pocket of people like that. And they most certainly are trying to saturate the EV. I overheard one of the "investors" in the 10th and A location tell another employee his goal is to become a millionaire as quickly as possible, and if that means selling TJP out to Starbucks or another large corporation, all the better.
Now, that's all fine and dandy, but they are definitely not just another juice bar. There is a reason for their rapid expansion, and it's about makin' millions A.S.A.P.
Support Lucy's and Liquiteria.

Except for the owner who seems quite nice, genuine, and generous, I TOTALLY agree that the JP staff is at *best* indifferent while accepting my hard-earned cash in mass quantities for their juice. I had to return and barely tasted gazpacho juice that was drowned in salt (and I love salt) and undrinkable. THe staff had to pass my returned portion around as if *I* were on trial - finally to come to the conclusion that it *could possibly* be a little salty and that I could have a partial refund as the bottle was only 85% full!!

I mean if you are going to charge people $8 to $11 for an 8 oz. watered down juice at least treat them bloody well!

I'll take my juice elsewhere thanks!
