Holiday tree stands ready for action

Picking up from the earlier post today... holiday tree stands are up and ready at two other neighbor spots... First Avenue and East 14th Street...

...and Second Avenue at St. Mark's Church-in-the-Bowery... looking forward to the arrival of the Holiday Hovel here... (cooler than the Creepy Camper...)

Our tree sources say that the, uh, trees will arrive tomorrow at the First Avenue/14th Street location...

Previously.

This is my favorite part of the holidays - when the streets are lined with fantastic-smelling trees. Even better with a dusting of snow. Love it!

Trees already available in west village on 7th avenue at The Duplex. Had my first scent of pine trees there this morning.

Why don't we just call them what they are: Christmas Trees.

"Christmas" trees are pagan and pre-date Christianity, so let's just call them what they are: Druid human sacrifice shrines.

Ok, Glenn......I can see where this is heading :

50 Shades Of Christmas

And the star of our movie, playing Santa Claus, is, of course.....

EVGrieve......sasssseeee!

Glenn, I'll stick with "Christmas Tree". I don't know how to decorate a "Druid Human Sacrfice Shrine", and it sounds like they might scare he kids.

Speaking of trees, Grieve, I was randomly looking at a slideshow on Houselogic and saw a picture of a willow tree credited to you. Don't ask why I was reading/looking at this...my only excuse is that it is still 15 minutes before I start drinking..heavily

I like "Druid human sacrifice shrines," though they don't have the SEO of Christmas trees!

[Heh]
