I spent about 6 hours helping clean up Tompkins Square Park today; on the off-chance I saw Orange Boy I brought a can of cat food. Sure enough, while I was dragging branches out of the corner of the 8th Street entrance, there he was. He cheerfully accepted my offering of gooey Friskies with Chicken and Greens on a paper plate, but I could not get closer to him than about three feet. But yes, happily he seems just fine. As are the rats and squirrels.

We love tips

By the way
Here, you'll find things that you may or may not be interested in about the East Village and other parts of New York City. Appreciating what's here while it's still here. Remembering what's no longer here. Wishing some things weren't here that are here.
