We ran out of candy around 7:30,some people are way too old to trick or treat for candy, it's for kids. BuTTT there sure were some well made costumes, one little girl had sequinned pants and this cool top her mom made for her. Unique and beautiful.

While I was out shopping earlier I saw a lot of different families/kids Trick or Treating from store to store.

Store clerks in the smaller, local shops were prepared and happily handed out candy to kids.

But the Duane Reade on Delancey and Ludlow? No way, Jose. No candy for the kids. Booo! And you think they'd be the ones who could afford it the most.

It's a day for children to enjoy unlike the burbs were you go house to house with your brown paper bag open, here the residential is not accessible door security, people simply not home so the it pretty much falls on first floor commercial business to take care of it small business in area some generous other Scrooge like one place ran out owner had bought 60 dollars worth the kids were still coming I tossed in an additional 25 to refill the bucket. I did not see any older kids over lets say 12 but mostly toddlers and pre 10 dressed in costume. It's one day out of 365 we can all afford to pony up for a tradition worth preserving..
