These are great pictures; I normally try to ignore most things that go on in Tompkins, but this'll teach me to pay closer attention!

The guy in the green T-shirt is my fave.

What the parade missing was the WOO float where bros and sorostitutes do the the drunken dance in their cargo shorts and backward baseball caps and high heels and mini-skirts, respectively, while screaming wooooooo and fist pumping in the air while the BroJ spins Asher Roth, Maclemore, and Drake.

This was the best Dance Parade in years, great weather and amazing crowds, and the dance party in the park with Grammy award winning DJ Hex Hector and house music legend Barbara Tucker went on for hours. And sorry there wasn't a bro or ho in sight. The mix of ethnicities was amazing, almost every nation was represented. There was also an all female drum band called Batala NY that set up to play next to the drum circle. They were so good, and so loud in a good way, that the drum circle stopped playing just to watch and enjoy the show.

seconding Giovanni...one of the best (and most diverse) vibes of this scale that has ever rocked the neighborhood...or at least since 1985 when I moved in. It was joyous, tolerant, edgy, polished, accomplished and raggedy all at the same time. Great event.
