Fresh pigeon is a great way to start the day...

That's a baby. They still have the peachy chest, yellow eyes, and brown/black striped tails. Running around on the ground is another give-away. :)

Yeah, Christo always uses a dustbuster after he's done with a pigeon.

I photographed the hawk from about 15ft. I didn't have a telephoto lens but the hawk was completely unfazed anyway. I was not the only person shooting but the hawk remained very cool about the attention.
