UFC signage arrives

Just noting the arrival of the Unidentified Flying Chickens signage at 60 Third Avenue near East 11th Street.

The Jackson Heights-based Korean fried chicken restaurant is taking over for the failed 3-week-old Apiary revamp.

No official word on an opening date just yet.

Previously on EV Grieve:
Après closes 3 weeks after debut; Unidentified Flying Chickens on the way in

I have had the "pleasure" of meeting the owner of UFC on 3rd avenue in the east village. She is so insanely rude that it put me off this place entirely. I just wanted to introduce myself, welcome them to the neighborhood, offer my services and wish them good luck. As a long time resident and helpful to my businesses in the area, I was appalled by the treatment.

I was greeted with "what do you want?" wouldn't shake my hand, wouldn't introduce herself, said Im too f'in busy to talk to you, we have everything figured out, we don't need you and its not my first time around the rodeo. Verbatim.

All I am saying is this food needs to be 27 out of 30 zagat rated, soupman quality to justify giving my money to such a jerk.
