Man new to area looking for a friend via flyers

@CuriousJLuis spotted this flyer yesterday on East Sixth Street near Avenue A.

Say hello to Charles.

According to the flyer:

"I'm sick and tired of this. I just want a friend.

No, not even that. Just someone who can tolerate me for 10 minutes."

I just moved into the area on 6th and A.

I'll be around the neighborhood, but I work a really demanding job as a consultant, so I won't always be available. Weekends work best if you put it on my calendar.

If you see me, please, just say hi."

We don't know if this is a gag of some kind … or a legitimate attempt to make some friends. (There isn't any contact info here.) Someone who looked like Charles was spotted hanging the flyer.

I understand the sentiment -- it sometimes is hard as hell to make friends in the city. But maybe an email or Twitter handle would have been a good thing to include?

A couple of months or so ago we had the ugly guy looking for a girlfriend and/or an acting job. Now this....

I'm actually aware of 2 flyers with guys looking for girlfriends. Saw one here on EV G and my wife and I were handed a different one by this kid in front of St Marks Church a couple of weeks ago. It was laid out a lot like the one in this post.

Not sure if its copy cats or some kind of art project. This one reads more like a bad comedy routine. "Weekends work best if you put it on my calendar." Really.

The ugly bald guy "looking for a girlfriend or acting job" has been mass littering ave A with those posters EEVERYWHERE by the hundreds early weekend mornings. He covers legit small biz guys trying to make their rent, man with van types, dogwalkers, etc. A complete nuisance. I always tear off his obnoxious thoughtless litter by the dozens wherever I see them and place them in the trash.

6th and A used to be home to a punk French restaurant called "Le Boycott."

Scuba Diva

Le Boycott was one of the first places I went on a date with my now wife!

I remember that it had great food and the irregular stone cellar walls were painted silver and it had that great old bureau as a bussing stand. The owner/chef used to close for a month to go mushroom picking back home in France. Then one day Le Boycott just disappeared.

We still go to La luncheonette since it moved way west from the LES way back when. In june the owner said they're now on a month to month lease.

"I'm sick and tired of this. I just want a fuckbuddy.

No, not even that. Just someone I can bust a nut in for 10 minutes.

I just moved into the area on 6th and A.

I'll be around the neighborhood, but I work a really demanding job as a consultant, so I won't always be available to fuck. Weekends work best if you put it on my calendar. Your own Trojan condoms are a plus as sometimes I run out.

If you see me, please, just say let's fuck and if I like your body enough, we will (women only please, no offense to the gay guys.)"

Luckily he is a handsome fellow! Should'nt be too difficult for him to find a "friend"!!
