There is, apparently, a plant thief among us

A reader shared this from a building on East Seventh Street.

Don't make it an issue, OK?

I really dislike plant issues.

Bank robberies, molesters, creepy bald flier posters, and now this. And to think this neighborhood used to be so safe. Even the plants aren't safe around here!

Someone kept stealing the bushes in the hedges outside our building. Our super had to improvise little chains to tie the plants down.

Unless the plants just wanted freedom, in which case the chains are enslavement, and the thieves are actually liberators?

Why was a plant in the basement? Isn't that botanical abuse? Someone should contact the Botanical Gardens Police.
