Whatever is taking the place of the old Odessa has a lot of doors

The exterior of the bar/restaurant (which we don't know anything about yet) opening in the former Odessa Bar and Cafe space at 117 Avenue A continues to evolve …

Friday!

Sunday!

This will be the first tenant for the space (failed concepts aside) since the Odessa Cafe & Bar closed Aug. 31, 2013.

It'll probably be a bar that will open those door windows in the nice weather with plenty of loud music and loud bros to "WooOOoo!!" the neighbors.

Oh hell. More of those windows that let noise spill out everywhere.

Don't tell me, it's the second coming of Manny's, which was suposed to take over The Cock before it fell into Idle Hands and the whole thing petered out.

They had the doors open last evening while working inside, with plenty of loud music emanating... bodes well for what's to come. NOT.

All those doors reminds me of when they were about to open Zum Schneider and had all the vintage doors lined up outside. I asked a woman there—presumably the owner or co-owner—if it was going to be a bar, and she corrected me: "A beer garden." (What does that mean; they don't serve hard liquor?)
