Key Food is out of flowers
Raymond and company apparently did a brisk business selling flowers Sunday in honor of Bono's birthday Mother's Day...
So if you want flowers, then maybe you can come back here on Avenue A and East Fourth Street tonight at 11...

Ha! I passed by there at 4AM on my way home from Remedy Diner. They were clearing all the flowers off the shelves. Busted! (I am a proud practitioner of our sloan "the city that never sleeps")
They should be ready for a day like this, these are the times they make most of there money.. one would think the would make sure they had a delivery coming the next day or order extra. Seems strange.
Oh good, I walked by there on the way to the gym yesterday and ALL I could think of when I read that sign was the Talking Heads song. Glad I'm not the only one.

I doubt that's the reason. It's probably a delivery issue.

Key Food is so incompetent. The Korean deli by me had tons and tons of flowers as late as Sunday morning (3-4am.)
Key Food is incompetent because they ran out of flowers? Man your standards are high. Screw flowers. Buy plants.
How about just buying a mop, turning it upside down, and cunningly decorating it as flowers?
If you can't be passive-aggressive with your mother, and especially on Mother's Day, you weren't raised right.
