I have a soft spot for the rats in the park. They're not invading anyone's home. They're not trying to mess with anyone's living.

Forget for a moment that it's a rat - beautiful animal, no?

I want to see an illustration of their network of tunnels underneath the park ala Candy Chan's 3D subway station illustrations.

This little one is cute. I wonder if he is related to Pizza Rat.

Rats are awesome: smart, clean [when left to their own devices], social, fun-loving and [even] sensitive. This site tells more about pet rats, and helps debunk some of the myths.

One important thing to remember about rats - they don't participate in, or probably even approve of, SantaCon. Just one more reason I like the critters.

Of course they are beautiful. They are like us, mammals. They nurse their babies. They probably have a kind of affinity for humans, with our tasty food scraps and warm buildings. I love squirrels, they are even more like us. If people want to feed them eh, I can look past it. Pigeons though, gross. A bird's closer to a reptile than it is a human.

So here's my question; what the heck happened to the hawks?
Haven't seen one; heard about one; nothing; since everyone packed-up and moved out of Ageloff.
where'd everybody go?

The hawks are still here and hawk migration is about to start, so we should be seeing more of them soon.

Unfortunately, rat poison is being used in the parks and has killed at least one hawk this year.

I love rats, too! Leave 'em alone I say.
