Activity to note at interesting new business coming to East 14th Street

Well, we haven't seen much activity of late at the incoming Domino's Pizza® location at 440 E. 14th St. just west of Avenue A. The sign arrived back in July.

And that has been about it for the Domino's Pizza® Watching.

However! The gate was open yesterday...

... offering a look at the work in progress...

Perhaps the crew here was waiting for the adjacent buildings to be demolished for a new residential building with 114 units.

In any event, this location hasn't shown up just yet at the Domino's Pizza® website. Big D fans will still need to order from STORE #3694 on Allen Street or STORE #3616 on West 8th Street.

Thanks Edmund John Dunn!

Does anyone eat at Domino's anymore? Its basically cardboard with processed cheese and bland tomato sauce.

The pizza might taste like cardboard with processed cheese, but Domino's wine list is impressive and the sommelier is quite knowledgeable.

God, this whole area has become so depressing (14th from 1st down to B, although 13th b/t 1st and A is pretty much a mess too). Everything's just torn apart, there's lots of homeless encampment, and then work being done and the homeless folks' stuff being tossed on the stone embankments on the north side in front of Associated :( Scaffolding and trash everywhere. And it's going to be like this for YEARS, with noise, drilling, dust, clanging, probably some damage to surrounding buildings, and finally, giant cranes ready to come crashing down on all our heads. Merry Christmas Upper East Village!

Remember, it's just Domino's now. Not a pizza place. No.

I'm kinda looking forward to it. It'll never replace real NYC pizza, but sometimes I can go for a Domino's. Or a can of Bud. Or a Chips Ahoy. You know, good ole fashioned junk!
