By the way, Zum Schneider celebrates its 16th anniversary on Aug. 19 starting at 4 p.m. Details here.

Thank you Zum Schneider. Thank you Chico. You might not be the best artist around but youre one of my favorites. You're true to the hood. I'm getting sick of these cheesy muralist from other countries who do it for a check, and a pat on the back from wannabe cool bros from bushwack

Cont' - what does Charlie Brown with no face got to do with anything about the east village? Paid for by icon and painted for yuppies to giggle about how shallow their lives are. AND.. That dude goes over true born and bred artists from here without even a shout out. Meh

It looks wonder-bar...I can hear the Sound of Music playing in the background as I eat my curry wurst with a large tooth pick.

Seriously whoever posted "You might not be the best artist around but youre one of my favorites" needs to rethink their comment. You can't say he's one of your favorites but then bash the guy. Chico is a staple within LES and is the best artist because he's one of the originals from our neighborhood. He continues to share his artistry with us and for that I thank him.

yeah.. look i grew up in the EV LES too and i've seen Chico murals my whole life. but real talk, some of em are just bad and look like a kid did it... ever see that Obama mural dude did? or the Robin Williams one.. just wow. much respect to him for sticking to it over all these years.. and i DO agree it's always nice to come across a CHICO mural, but let's not get carried away with the fan-dom.
