Wow it's great to see people who are paid with taxpayer's money horse around when there could be a fire as they do.

I know, I know, I'm The Grinch That Stole Christmas, but what if a big fire broke out as these firepeople were playing Santa? I'd imagine they'd need to bring that ladder down and round up enough troops and that wouldn't take a minute or two.

If at least one person is killed in that fire where if he or she would've lived if the firetruck came five minutes sooner i.e waste five minutes playing with their big toy, it would be because of wasting five minutes playing with their big toy.

Very sweet, but the NYC Fire Museum in Tribeca has been doing this forever, you know.

*I* know because it was my retired FDNY captain uncle who played Santa there for years. :D

I used to live above Bill Buchen (the photographer in this) and also across from the fire house in the 1980's. Those firemen have always been the greatest and also saved my apartment, a job I was working on, and kept track of my cats when a blaze from a neighboring building caught fire and spread in to mine. They've be horsing around for years when there's not a fire but believe me these guys can get in to action in moments and are superb protectors of our community and have fun and laughs at the same time. BLESS them and I will never forget that they saved my apartment twice in 1984. Fires due to abandoned buildings next to occupied.
