Try not to rock the boat while 'Ocean's 8' films here today

Fans of the first seven Ocean's movies will be pleased to know that crews will be back filming scenes for "Ocean's 8" here today.

[Pause for bad joke to sink in]

Anyway! This all-female spin-off of the Ocean's Trilogy has an ensemble cast that includes Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Mindy Kalig, Awkwafina, Dakota Fanning, among others.

Cast and crew will be filming (or trucks are taking up space) on First Avenue between Sixth Street and St. Mark's Place, Seventh Street between Second Avenue and Avenue A, and Sixth Street between First Avenue and Avenue A. Posted notices say crews will be filming roughly from 6 a.m. to midnight.

The film has a June 8, 2018, release date.

Updated 7:30 a.m.
Looks as if crews are setting up to shoot inside Blue & Gold on Seventh Street.

This is what they were filming at Subway today. I saw Bullock and Blanchett in the store.

SMH @ Bullock and Blanchett patronizing a chain who had a child molester-and-porn surfing pitchman and who knows if they knew what he was doing?

How 'bout an independently owned deli?

I mean these people shut off a street/streets to film in the East Village, and their eight to nine figure net worth actresses buy subs from a fu cking chain which puts little or no money into the EV. You could argue this Subway probably doesn't have a single EV resident working for them.

How did Sandra Bullock win the Academy Award for Best Actress for "The Blind Side" when she can't act and the kid who played Big Mike gave a far better acting performance than her?

Bullock affected a fake Southern accent whereas you really saw the social isolation and deprivation in the Big Mike character.

To me an AA should be given out to someone who you forget or don't care who he/she is when you see the performance e.g. Robert DeNiro as Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull. With Bullock I saw only Bullock playing a role. Bad call by the Academy.
