The opossum of Tompkins Square Park — now on video

[Photo from Dec. 20 by Cheyenne]

Here's your weekly report on Nicodemus Punch Sugarpop, the opossum who recently (and mysteriously!) showed up in Tompkins Square Park.

Goggla has some photos and videos of the opossum, interacting with some squirrels, a rat and Christo, the red-tailed hawk. Head on over here for all the opossum action.

Meanwhile, here's one of the videos showing some dining action...

It's like a new character has been added to the cast of our favorite TV show. A new storyline to follow and none of this is on Netflix.

Where can we see the possum? Any idea which tree he calls home?

Love him! I think he has 4-5 apartments tree holes. Should his name be Croman?

To 11:43 am -- I think the opossum is closer to Avenue B between 7th and 8th

its really crowded around here, but I hope Nicodemus brings a few opossum friends to the neighborhood anyway. Way more interesting than the self(ie)-obsessed brats by which we've been swarmed.
