Today in discarded timeless classics
EVG reader David shares this photo... showing an Eames Lounge Chair and ottoman (black/rosewood) discarded on the curb outside 217 E. Third St. between Avenue B and Avenue C.
Congratulations to whoever snagged this! I have a soft spot in my heart for East Village Eames furniture. On the same block, my block, in about 1997, iI found a 1952 seafood green SAX chair.

It's too new looking to be the real deal and left on the street. Knock-off.
Still, knock-off or not, I hope someone snagged both pieces. The waste in this city is gross.
That was either a joke, or revenge.
bedbugs!
Even the replicas are selling between 1,880- 4,400. Great find! and theres always cold storage in case you fear bed bugs!
