To me they are a voice on the telephone, a delivery man and the very best Chinese Food in the neighborhood! Ever since Bamboo House on 6th Street closed ten years ago I have experimented with most of the remaining Chinese restaurants in the area. China Star is consistent in their quality with a great variety on the menu and prices that are fairly priced for value. They are my go to Chinese Restaurant in the EV. He's right about the rent getting too high and people being financially forced to moved out, or forced to sell because the landlords are going to jack up the rent. And if you read the interview closely, especially between the lines, you'll find tons of insight about what is happening with the neighborhood.Charliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18054721608005244454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-83939629499276038972017-10-20T00:23:24.790-04:002017-10-20T00:23:24.790-04:00My favorite nearby EV Chinese. Jay, I am one of those customers who used to be a regular but moved away and disappeared. I lived on 9th street for 5 years between 2009 and 2014, and would come in often for chicken and broccoli with brown rice, extra broccoli :) I moved to California in 2014 but am so glad to see that you are still doing well. Congrats on the new baby!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-88518397145057720742017-10-18T12:03:25.515-04:002017-10-18T12:03:25.515-04:00Great stories! But rest assured I'll have my pants on, and payment ready.
