(That did an excellent job I might add). Coned did that so they wouldn't inconvenience neighbors with road closures, big cranes, excessive noise, etc...

There are several transformers at this location nearing their end of life. Coned is simply upgrading the transformers to help continue reliable service to those that are fed electricity by this substation. A necessary inconvenience to keep the lights on :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-20344246357824931622014-03-22T15:32:39.036-04:002014-03-22T15:32:39.036-04:00How often do they need to replace those transforme...How often do they need to replace those transformers, anyway? I just saw your link to the transformer that was replaced just two years ago at this same substation. Was it a lemon? Anyway, breaking down the old transformer by cutting it into pieces (that's what one worker today told me they did) explains the constant chainsawing I've been hearing that's been setting my teeth on edge. Seems as though in the last few years there have been too many accidents with cranes affecting nearby apartment buildings. I should go find somewhere else to stay for the next day or two!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5694390946037511355.post-29092440541565837132014-03-22T14:19:35.377-04:002014-03-22T14:19:35.377-04:00They began ripping up the streets extremely loudly...They began ripping up the streets extremely loudly at like 1am!
