The Dragon Bowls have been a staple for years. And don't miss the amazing Daily Specials (emphasis on unique and unforgettable flavors) and the best deserts anywhere, not to mention the Angelica cornbread with Miso spread, the dill potato salad special, vege chili and on and on. Almost forgot the organic wine. I also seem to remember the Angelica's restaurant used to be next door to Angelica's herb shop, but I don't know if there was ever any connection, since I was well aware that store always had a different owner. (Paul, who used to be the landlord of my building, long before I lived here.)

I'm not sure if the person she refers to as Carl Bergfors was actually Carl Hultberg, whom I remember from the early 90s as having been very active in recycling; he went from the Village Greens to heading NYU recycling. He was bought out of his place on 4th street, and decamped to Vermont; I sometimes see his comments to New York Times articles I read online.

I'm just thrilled to still have Angelica's around; I still love their cornbread with miso-tahini spread, and they're in my Instagram feed!Scuba Divahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10326884503725331349noreply@blogger.com
