Here's more about 287/LES via Corcoran:

287/LES is the most successful ground-up new development on Houston Street. An Italian-inspired presence resonates outside with an elegant façade comprised of blackened steel, black textured brick and oversized floor-to-ceiling windows.

Amenities include a part-time doorman complemented by virtual doorman technology, a full-time superintendent, a fitness center, bicycle storage, private storage for purchase, supplemental commercial-grade laundry room, and a landscaped common rooftop terrace with outdoor kitchen.

And the final product...

Quickly reaching the top of 287 E. Houston St.

I can't recall a new development that has gone up as quickly as 287 E. Houston St. ... workers hoisted the flag atop the 11-floor condoplex between Clinton and Suffolk late last week...

A quick recap: The 120-foot-tall luxury building will feature 28 residences. The development will have two to four units on each story, including two duplexes on the first and second floors and a penthouse duplex on the top two floors. The smallest unit (624 square feet) starts at $1.18 million. (More background here.)

It will likely look like the rendering by Labor Day...

Construction watch: 287 E. Houston St.

These photos are from Sunday. By now, there's likely another few floors.

Work has been zipping right along here at 287 E. Houston St. between Clinton and Suffolk... site of a planned 11 stories of condos...

The 120-foot-tall luxury building will feature 28 apartments. The development will have two to four apartments on each story, including two duplexes on the first and second floors and a penthouse duplex on the top two floors.

The condoplex's website shows seven available units, starting at $1.18 million for a 624-square-foot unit... and $2.95 million for the 1,100-square foot penthouse with an additional 140-square-feet of outdoor space.

And as for the final product, we'll just drop this in...

On East Houston, empty lot awaits million-dollar condos

A crew made pretty quick work of demolishing the two-level structure at 287 E. Houston St. near Clinton Street...as these photos from Saturday show...

As previously noted, there are plans for an 11-story building with 28 luxury residences (top price will reach $5 million). The city has yet to approve the necessary permits for the development.

The space previously housed a tax preparation service and a landscaping business.

Sidewalk bridge arrives ahead of demolition of 287 E. Houston St.; condos coming next

Getting to be time to demolish the two-level structure at 287 E. Houston St. near Clinton Street. The sidewalk bridge is now in place. (The demo permit was filed in March 2015.)

The plans, which still await city approval, call for an 11-story building with 28 residences.

Here's a recap from New York Yimby, who had the first look at the rendering earlier last month:

The boutique development will have two to four apartments on each story, including two duplexes on the first and second floors and a penthouse duplex on the top two floors. The plans indicate that the penthouse will have a private roof deck, and the rest of the residents will have access to a shared terrace. The apartments will range from one- to three-bedrooms, and asking prices will start at $1.1 million and go up to $5 million, according to PR reps for the development.

As we first noted on April 6, the new development already has a teaser site in case you'd like to get in on the action early.

11 stories of condos to join the growing East Houston residential corridor

[Via Google Street View]

A new residential project has been in the works for East Houston between Clinton and Suffolk going back to late 2014. (BoweryBoogie and NY Yimby had the coverage.)

Plans call for 11 stories of condominiums at 287 E. Houston, at the site of this now-vacant two-story building. (Previously it housed a tax-preparation business; a landscaping business also used part of the property.)

And yesterday, NY Yimby got the first look at a rendering for the development (in two pieces)...

Here are the details via NYY:

The 120-foot-tall building will hold 28 apartments and slightly more than 29,000 square feet of residential space ...

To date, though, the plans are awaiting city approval. There is a teaser site up to register for more residential info.
