Ahimsa Garden is leaving the East Village

Ahimsa Garden is leaving the East Village for Midtown East. 

Signs up at the Indian restaurant that serves vegetarian food at 265 E. 10th St. between Avenue A and First Avenue shows an upcoming move to East 38th Street. Per the sign: "Thank you for all your support. We are blessed with such an awesome community."

AG, an offshoot of the Thompson Street location at the time, opened here in August 2017.

Ahimsa Garden is open on 10th Street

Ahimsa Garden opened last Monday at 265 E. 10th St. between Avenue A and First Avenue.

The vegetarian Indian restaurant is an offshoot of the Thompson Street location, which boasts an $11.95 lunch buffet. (Not sure if they are offering that deal here.) They are, however, using the rear garden like the previous tenant, Moustache, which closed in May.

Signage is up for Ahimsa, the new vegetarian Indian restaurant opening at 265 E. 10th St. between Avenue A and First Avenue.

The restaurant's Thompson Street location boasts an $11.95 buffet lunch special. (You can find the Ahimsa menu here.)

The previous tenant here, Moustache, the reliable Middle-Eastern restaurant, closed back in May.
