TV pilot now filming in the Tompkins Square Park dog run

In case you're wondering what's going on there now...

We are shooting a television pilot in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, and we are looking for dogs and their owners for a scene in a dog park. We are shooting early tomorrow morning, February 15, 2010, so please respond ASAP with a picture of the dog, and any other relevant details.
There is no pay, but there will be FREE FOOD!!
You must provide your own leash, and it would probably be a good idea to bring a water bowl, as the filming will last until sundown.

That's the trouble with you readers, you know all the plots.

Oh. And watch the ice!

Dog gone (groan)

I like to amuse myself in little ways. Like!: Walking by the condo construction site on 13th Street near Third Avenue, the place that had the "attack dog" on duty.

I was never convinced that a dog was on the premises...until the fall. Even then, I thought, perhaps this was all an elaborate (and expensive!) audio system.

Anyway, no more dog. [Sighs. Weeps.]

How will I pass the time now?

And look what those teases did.

The dog days of summer

This past weekend, I walked by that new apartment building going up on 13th Street near Third Avenue. It was boarded up; no activity going on...

After seeing the attack-dog sign, I knocked on the plywood. Made some noise. Threw a rock. No barking. Nothing. Perhaps it was the dog's day off. Or, given the economy, maybe one attack dog has to work several different sites during the weekend. Or, given that it was about 500 degrees out, and there was no one around to give the dog fresh water...Or maybe there never has been a dog on site...
