Happy Belmont Stakes Day (and so long OTB?)



Affirmed vs. Alydar -- best rivalry in sports history? And how about that 1978 Belmont Stakes race in the video above? Best ever?

    thanks for the reminder about otb's closing this month. i hope somebody with a good camera and photo skills is documenting these places and the people who go there.

    Yes, also The Last Days of the OTB would be a great feature documentary. Meanwhile, I'm holding out a smidgen of hope that the state and Bloombug can hammer out a deal.
