Looking at Life (via Google)

Morning time sucker: Search millions of photographs from the Life magazine archives, from the 1750s to today, thanks to Google.

Here are a few shots that I liked from the neighborhood:

    Yes! And do people still have dance parties? Or does everyone just sit around a room wearing their iPods?

    They still go to parties, but they don't just sit around. Yes, each wear their own iPods and dance to whatever music their listening to.

    I believe the overshot is the south side of 10th Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues. I grew up on this block and was born the year this photo was taken.
