McSorley's celebrated its 155th (or 147th) anniversary last night. Not the horror show that I expected (police barricades, barfing in the streets, etc). Of course, it was still early. Oh, and for the record: I didn't go in...Just walking by...

I was there then- a good time. As of 630, I still wasn't sure they started letting females in (I was one of maybe three, along with 150 men). Didn't see as many McSorley's newbie displays as usual--asking what was on tap, ordering one beer. There were even seats open at tables.
