EV Grieve--thanks for the info--wonderful photos filled with memories...especially great photo of the old Polish Man who lived on the street and wore a plastic cap and cape..he was a gentle person and was burned to death by some kids. RIP Lovely Polish Man--you were nice.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I remember when they finally got the squatters out of East 13th Street. The squatters were throwing all sorts of stuff off the roof, making it dangerous for everyone. A friend of mine almost got nailed by a cinder block. I miss a lot of the old East Village but not the squatters!
