What was that huge DOT/MTA Emergency Command Center doing at the corner of 9th and 2nd Ave last night? I saw the guys working on the water main break and then kinda assumed the two groups of cops/emergency vehicles were related but DOT? MTA? The trucks on 9th and A were mostly DEP trucks. Was water running into the subway? But wait, there's no subway tunnel at 2nd and 9th.
