No sign of life at Bon Vivant



Still no activity at Bon Vivant, the Greek diner on Broadway near 12th Street. The diner, owned several decades by a Greek family, remained shuttered over the weekend... no sign, no explanation... and no answer on their phone...

  1. I used to get my coffee every morning from them in the 70s when I worked at Grove Press. Horrible coffee but the only place around at the time.

  2. This place is (or was) not good, but I guess the rapid changes in the neighborhood have people holding on to anything from "old New York" or "real New York" (whatever those terms mean).
