Police presence in Tompkins Square Park

Seems to be more police than usual in Tompkins Square Park the last few days... Late Thursday afternoon, there were six police cars on the scene... and the only noticeable offense was a man receiving a ticket for an open container... more police cars were prowling around early Friday morning... asking some questions of a few Park regulars, such as John and Hot Dog...

  1. Good! Im sick of these trust-fund junkies coming here from Iowa causing trouble in the East Village. The cops can lock more of these transient rich fake (my mommy and daddy have money but I do heroin)jerks up as opposed of people who grew up in this neighborhood and dealt with the strife.

  2. Yeah, cause ALL the park people are rich trust fund kids. I'm sure Hot Dog is secretly super rich and has just been living in the park for 20 years because it's fun! :roll eyes:

  3. Fancesca, Your post is stupid! He brought up a point about the Non- New Yorkers that come here. Quite frankly I dont like them either. Go roll your eyes somewhere else. Why dont let you let HOt Dog sleep in your apartment if you like her so much.

  4. so, I can expect snobbery in the park because I'm not from NYC? sick of non-New Yorkers that come here? You sound like an ass! Who do you think you are? Do you own the park? Why don't YOU go somewhere else..?
