Thanks to Bob Arihood for the photo and tip here...
Ray spoke to a CNNmoney.com reporter last night offering his expert advice on money matters and good business practices in today's financially troubled New York City economy. The reporter noted that the interview will appear on the CNNmoney.com site sometime between tonight and Friday.

Your remarks and lively debates are welcome, whether supportive or critical of the views herein. Your articulate, well-informed remarks that are relevant to an article are welcome.
However, commentary that is intended to "flame" or attack, that contains violence, racist comments and potential libel will not be published. Facts are helpful.
If you'd like to make personal attacks and libelous claims against people and businesses, then you may do so on your own social media accounts. Also, comments predicting when a new business will close ("I give it six weeks") will not be approved.
I went into Ray's yesterday and saw the man himself feeling good and it reminded me of the old days. BTW--the pomegranite ice rocks!!So does the raspberry and when available the blood orange too. Love you Ray.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bob for the info. I miss Bob's blog.
I was going through some of the many articles I've collected over the years about how the nabe has changed, and ran across a September 1994 NY Times piece, "Beyond Bohemian: Superdeluxe on Avenue A" (which claims "...the unspoken border of interest is Avenue A. It doesn't go much further east. Some say it never will because of a lack of subway lines and the presence of public housing projects along Avenue D". Oh if only.) They have a large sidebar with a photo of one "Ramon (sic) Alvarez in his ever-present fedora", and there's Ray, looking jaunty and 16 years younger. Nice article about him, good quotes, glad to see the media thinks he's still relevant. But...Ramon?!?
ReplyDeleteWait, is Ray giving advice or getting advice?
ReplyDeleteRay has been in business for years and has a lot of good advice to share.
ReplyDeleteYes occasionally Ray does use the name "Ramon"when its to his advantage .....and Ray is "giving" advice on money matters and good business practices in this troubled NYC economy .
ReplyDeleteLove Ray but he is the last person on Earth who should be giving business advice! He wouldn't be in business if we hadn't all bailed him out!
