We've heard many hellish travel stories this week... our friend Marty Wombacher passed along these shots from LaGuardia tonight... he made it back to the New York, though he was waiting it out at a bar for the two-hour cab line to subside...
I finally surrendered to the cab line at 7:45pm and waited in line for over 45 minutes to get a cab and finally I got home, sweet home (clicks heels three times.)
Welcome Back!!My friend still can't get back by LIRR from Central Islip. The train went one stop and then told everyone they had to transfer to a bus to coninue on--so many people and at least a 2 hour wait, she heard the LIRR was turning back one stop and she went back. Apparently some of the tracks are cracked.
