I skipped right past the Bowery and went straight to Jeggings. They're out? Oh no, now I have to get a whole new wardrobe! It looks to be a cruel year.
It actually is "out", of course, but doesn't know that. It wants to be the next Meatpacking District, a sad goal in itself, and the MPD district was out before it was "in", as it went through the Soho degeneration from industrial wasteland to shopping mall / vomitorium without passing through the phase of being an actual neighborhood.
