Reminders
Also for more Bowery history.... the Bowery History exhibit curated by Rob Hollander for the Lower East Side History Project and the Bowery Alliance of Neighbors closes on Wednesday. It's in the public space on the second floor of the Whole Foods on the Bowery.

A Bowery history exhibit at the Whole Foods that started gentrification on the Bowery? How ironic!

At least the space is public and free. Last week I saw one of the most radical, daring activists I've ever known (she once pulled a gun out of a cop's holster and held it at him, I kid you not -- and how she beat the rap is another story) organizing a meeting there. In the belly of the beast!
Thanks for the mention, Grieve!
