Tonight's full moon will be the largest and brightest seen for 19 years, appearing 14 percent bigger and shining 30 percent more brightly than usual. (So that's 44 percent?) Here's more on Gothamist.
I was so in love with the moon last night, I mentioned it to friends and saw an article about tonight's moon. In anticipation, I swooped down to J&R just an hour ago to buy a telescope just for the occasion! I'm assembling it now on the tripod. YAY!!! I'm praying the clouds dissipate enough so we have a lovely view tonight!
Your remarks and lively debates are welcome, whether supportive or critical of the views herein. Your articulate, well-informed remarks that are relevant to an article are welcome.
However, commentary that is intended to "flame" or attack, that contains violence, racist comments and potential libel will not be published. Facts are helpful.
If you'd like to make personal attacks and libelous claims against people and businesses, then you may do so on your own social media accounts. Also, comments predicting when a new business will close ("I give it six weeks") will not be approved.
Great photo! And thanks for the heads up on the Supermoon, I hadn't heard about it.
