Wai? Cafe relocating to Avenue B

Last week, we noted that Wai? Cafe on First Avenue had closed. However, EV Grieve reader Melissa reports that Wai? is relocating to 182 Avenue B near 11th Street. (An outgoing message at Wai? confirms the move to Avenue B.) The new location is expected to open in late May or early June.

The Little Bird, the vegan cafe that was in the space before, closed in January.


Workers have been renovating the 182 space in recents weeks.

    oh, nice! the food there was basic, but cheap solid and essentially healthy. this is even closer to me now, so maybe it will be a nice little local refuge.

    I am DYING for Wai to repoen already! Actually, if anyone else has a cheap and yummy broiled salmon delivery idea, let me know.

    Wai reopened this week! However, they changed the name to "Y Cafe." Currently it is BYOB. Hours: M-F 11am-11:30pm, Sat-Sun 10am-11:30pm.
