This unit could also be transformed into a 2 bed 1.5 bath apartment. The top floor is a duplex penthouse with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, brand new kitchen and 2 very large private outdoor spaces. This is a Unique Building loaded with charm and character including exposed brick, high original tin ceilings, large windows, multi levels and large lofty spaces throughout.
Price: $4.65 million.
CB3 has rejected recent plans — including a group featuring Phil Hartman of Two Boots — to turn this space back into a performance venue after its turn as Aces & Eights.
As the Observer reported in November 2008, 34 Avenue A was sold to an entity called LAMNG Corporation for $4 million. The building had been on the market for more than a year, with an initial listing price of $5.5 million.
On May 16, an unknown group will make another pitch for the space before the CB3/SLA committee.
4.6 million!? Hahahahhaa! It's not a house, it doesn't have acres of land, no trees, no backyard, no sun deck... Nothing! Who is stupid enough to play 4mil for a shitty ass building like that? You can buy a fucking ranch with 4 mil including horses and a chick to accompany you.
ReplyDeleteMo Pitkins aint never been famous, that's bullshit.
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil. This runaround was a little less painful. Next time, maybe just say "I like my neighborhood," and give me a slice of pizza. You're good at that part. Stay out of everything else.
ReplyDelete"Originally home to the famous live music venue Mo Pitkins"...originally? Oh, that's right, real estate agent memories only go back to when they started in real estate. Silly me.
ReplyDeletethat spot is cursed because only jackasses go to that place. beer pong, anyone?? this is the lower east side, not the upper east side, bimbos and frat boys.
ReplyDeleteWere real estate developers and real estate agents this annoying throughout history, or just in my lifetime?
ReplyDeleteKen, real estate people were annoying from the beginning of the world.
ReplyDeleteI met the owner and she's a freaking idiot. It's sad when you have dumb people with inherited money and think they know what they are doing. There is a sucker born everyday and when Two Boots sold her that building they hit the mother load. Good job Two Boots maybe you can sell her the Brooklyn Bridge next, I heard it was for sale.
ReplyDeleteUmm, overpaid $4.25mil in 2008, been on the market over a year for $5.5mil, now "reduced" to $4.65mil...Does the current owner not know its a down economy? Will be hard to convince a buyer to pay more than what was paid in 2008...
