Another protest outside the Continental tonight

EV Grieve reader AWKWORD notes that protestors — organized by the Answer Coalition — have returned to the Continental on Third Avenue this evening to protest what they consider to be discriminatory acts by the bar’s bouncers....

  3. Seriously, who goes to a protest of a night club? Think about that. Seems lame. I'm not saying their cause is right or wrong, just...who the hell are these people and what were their alternative Saturday night plans?

  4. Maybe if Christopher Street adopted his "no baggy, no saggy" policy the crime wouldn't be so bad over there. This place has operated without incident for decades. Point the gin in the right direction people.

  6. I don't get it? The patrons are claiming black on black racism?

  7. ANSWER is part of Workers' World party (WWP), a sick cult-like group of Stalinists fronted by people of color, but controlled by wealthy white people who set their agendas.

WWP is one of many phony political groups designed to channel the energy and efforts of young up and coming activists who are either misled until they burn out, or are turned off to political organizing in the future.

The whole purpose is to prevent EFFECTIVE political activism. Under phony groups like these, NOTHING changes. The status quo remains the SAME!!

  9. Go somewhere else, if they're racist - don't go there. I THINK there may be some other bars in the area, just a hunch.
